For those who do not know, Hurricane island is the newly added map. This place is home to the T-Rex, Hurricane Island Instance, lvl 11-12 {ores, logs, and plants}, the nastiest offshore you have ever seen, and much more. This island requires you to be fairly strong to have any chance of surviving.

Hurricane Island is located on the small island of Newfoundland. The easiest way to get here is from either Tortue, Reykjavik, or lisbon. I forget the coordinates exactly but it is almost directly west of London and slightly northeast of Tortue.

Upon arriving to this new place, you will be greeted by puppet level raiders. These beasts will shoot you for about 700 hull damage/shot or ram you for damage ranging from 15k-20k. Also, if you get close enough to them they will board you and they do hurt. I suggest either attacking their hull or cutting the grapples.

Upon landing you will start off on a beach. Tom, the NPC, is standing in front of you on a slightly raised surface. Talking to him, you can get the swamp map needed for the cave for 12,500,000 and also new collection quests. Also, you can find Captain Migna on the island who will give you the quest to kill TaskMaster Rowan.

On the island you can pick up the new lvl 11 and 12 Textiles and high quality seeds/crops.

Geranium-Lvl 11 quality crop

Perilla Frutescens-Lvl 12 quality crop

There are also ore stacks and trees to collect the new lvl 11 and 12 materials.

ONCE YOU ARE AGGROED BY ANYTHING ON THIS ISLAND, THEY WILL NOT STOP ATTACKING UNTIL YOU ARE DEAD OR LEAVE THE SCENE

The mobs on the swamp lands are very strong. The crocodiles will always be in groups of three, either poisonous group or cannibal group. Upon being hit by these mobs you will instantly be slowed to a VERY slow walk and your death is imminent. They have a small aggro range and will only attack you ifyou are nearly stepping on them.Along with the crocodiles is also the T-Rex. The T-Rex is a team effort to bring down. He can hit over 1k damage to someone in full black armor and also heals himself over time. He will not aggro you unless you attack him first. It is rumored that he only spawns 1 time every week.

In order to enter the cave you must have atleast 90BH. When going to the Cave instance you will be given only 3 choices of difficulty: Beginner, Easy and Normal. So far I have only done Beginner so that will be how I describe everything haha.

Part 1: Hurricane Island Mining Cave

Mobs here are armadillos and pirates. These are not tough and can be soloed, but it will take forever to work your way through. You can see the required path to take from the screenshot and I highly advise clearing a path so that you will not have to deal with any mobs if/when you die. In order to pass to the next part you must kill TaskMaster Rowan and open the door to the Lizards Caves.TaskMaster Rowan: Boss Fight.

This boss fight can be quite hard. Chances are your entire team will die in here atleast once.

Along with Taskmaster Rowan are 4 NPCs (white shirt mineworker, gray shirt mineworker, white shirt supervisor, and gray shirt supervisor). These NPCs and boss will heal themselves overtime so it is highly advised to take out 1 NPC as a group per time.*The plan that I always use is to attack the NPCs in this order{white shirt mineworker, gray shirt mineworker, white shirt supervisor, and gray shirt supervisor} as an entire group. The person with the highest dodge/defence should take initial aggro and have plenty of IM heals ready to spam.*

Introduction

IntroductionVoyage Century Online is a free nautical MMORPG published by IGG, the distributors of voyage century Online. It is set in 17th century Earth and features accurate historical representations of several coastal cities. Players are not required to choose a career path at the beginning of the game. This gives players a rather varied gameplay in which you can either specialize in one skill and trade for resources, or make use of all the skills. (i.e. You are strictly a tailor and want to make clothing. You can pay someone who can fight to gather wool for you, or you can learn to fight and gather it yourself. etc.) Combat occurs both on land and on the sea, where players risk the threat of pirates when venturing further from the more populated areas. The game profits off of optional cash shop items that are available for players to purchase with real money. Unlike many other MMORPGs where players can only succeed through battle, Voyage Century Online gives players the option of embarking on several unique professions.HistoryPrior to its English launch, Voyage Century Online was available to players in China, South Korea, and Germany. An alpha test open to 1000 players began on the English version on December 8, 2006 and an open beta version was launched on December 22, 2006. A warm-up event was staged the day before the open beta launch where players could take pictures of their characters with the GMs. The game's full version was released April 8, 2007.CharacteristicsMerchant systemThe merchant system is subdivided into three jobs: vendors, who gain money primarily by selling goods; investors, who profit through purchasing goods at low prices and selling them at high prices; and traders, who increase their wealth through trading goods between ports.ShipsThere are three types of ships in Voyage Century: the Battle Ship, Raider Ship and Merchant ships. The battle ship is able to hold the most amount of cannons and can take the most amount of damage. The raider is the fastest ship and has the most amount of sailors so boarding would be a good strategy in PvP. The merchant ship is the slowest ship of all and does not do well in PvP but it has the highest loading capacity. Players are able to own multiple ships so they do not need to stick to only one. There are 10 levels ships along with the beginner ship and the Dragon Head Gunboat. Each type of ship is leveled up differently. The Battle Ship is leveled by fighting other ships in the battlefields. The raider is leveled up by exploring and the merchant ship is leveled by trading. Once a ship has met the requirements, players must gather or buy the necessary materials needed to upgrade the ship. The Dragon Head Gunboat is a newly introduced ship which is given to new players. It is roughly equivalent to a level 5 battle ship and can go very fast but has a somewhat limited loading capacity.RanksThe table below shows what ranks are achievable in Voyage Century Online. It also includes what nation, reputation, and silver is needed to gain them. Ranks are needed to wield certain weapons and armor. In order to get to a higher rank, you must have a certain amount of reputation.Reputation plays a great part of Voyage Century. Reputation is achieved by log books (from discoveries), treasures (from treasure maps), completing various quests, and sinking ships. Higher reputation will also cause your name to become more blue than others.Exploration systemThe exploration system is one part of the game which has a lot of content and a huge scope for the player to explore. The exploration system is the long, vast, ocean inside Voyage Century Online. Thus, the exploration system holds a large amount of the file. This is because the ocean is much larger than the land in Voyage Century, a more realistic figure compared to other MMORPGs which may have little or even no seas. Voyagers may come across islands, passages, and many other interesting obstacles while sailing the seas. Some of these obstacles are storms, pirates and even other players. The ocean is actually a scaled down map of the earth's oceans with some variations.DiscoveriesIn order to get discoveries, players need to sail on the high sea and look for sparkling spots near the shore, which means that something special is hiding nearby. Players can begin their exploration by clicking the explore button in the operation menu and input the number of sailors dispatched. Equipping higher level telescopes will help to find more findings. Players will acquire the discovery logbook of their findings if they find something. By giving the discovery logbook to the authenticator, the players can get some money and boost their reputation. Higher level discoveries offer more money and reputation, reputation is your social standing in the world. Reputation is used to gain higher noble titles, higher level noble titles allow a user to wield equipment that is stronger than a regular equipment. For example, an ensign command falchion that requires 11 falchion and level 2 noble title, is much stronger than a weapon that requires 17 falchion.
